The Churnet Valley Railway is delighted to unveil its programme of events ahead of the return of services for 2021, including a show-stopping finale - the arrival of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride! Tickets for Christmas 2021 will be on sale from the 1st June 2021 starting from £24.95.
Local musicians and artists adapted to lockdown by using their talents to produce a stunning new piece, Greenwood Dreams, which also includes contributions by many local amateurs. At approximately half an hour long, the video is available for everyone to enjoy.

The Churnet Valley Railway's Board of Directors are keeping abreast of the fast-changing rules of lockdown, social distancing obligations and the ever-increasing social views with regards to the on-going pandemic.
The Churnet Valley Railway (CVR) is celebrating after securing over £1.4m to bring this hugely popular visitor attraction into Leek.
Despite the Churnet Valley Railway currently being shut due to the global pandemic, we find it necessary to remind members of the public that trespassing on the railways within the area is not permitted.
Walkers, we need you. We have a couple of projects that need finalising or fine-tuning and local people who have time and safe access to the Churnet Valley might be able to help us. In particular, we have some walking routes that need additional information and recent photos.
Since the first National Lottery draw on November 19, 1994, The National Lottery Heritage Fund have supported thousands of incredible heritage projects, 44,000 to be exact!
