A local group is taking on management and day-to-day running of Cheadle Library and is looking for volunteers.
Recently the Cheadle Library Group (CCIRG) heard that their bid to partner with the council was successful. Now they are urgently looking to build a team of volunteers and start the training programme. Cheadle Library already has a strong and enthusiastic volunteer base which the group are hoping to add to.
"We hope that local people will embrace the opportunities and support this endeavour to provide an engaging, vibrant, welcoming and inclusive hub for everyone to enjoy.” Joanne Darrant, member of the Cheadle Library Group.
Anyone who wants to get involved as a volunteer at the library should still contact the County Council Library Service either by phone 01785 278321 , email (volunteerinyourlibrary@staffordshire.gov.uk) or via an online form found on the county council website.
