The Churnet Valley Living Landscape wishes to appoint a contactor to design and construct a limestone aggregate trackway of approximately 800m length for use by pedestrians and ATV.
The Route
Across the top of a wooded slope at the edge of farmland pasture. The pasture is gently sloping and water runs off across the path line. The route meanders in and out of the wooded area and the ground has banks and slopes. Organisations invited to tender will be shown the route by the CVLLP Practical Projects Officer before they are required to submit outline designs and quotations.
The Additional Infrastructure
The path will be fenced at either side along its length with a planted hedge for 250m. Gates will be installed at 4 locations to allow vehicle access. Culvert pipes will be required for drainage at several locations.
