Fairy Village Workshop

Venue:
RSPB Coombes Valley

Giving fairies a home in Staffordshire this summer holiday!

We’ve heard rumours that some of the woodland fairies and elves at RSPB Coombes Valley are looking for new homes and they need your help! The team at RSPB Coombes Valley is asking for caring and friendly families to come along to the nature reserve on 17th and 18th August between 11 am and 4 pm to build new fairy houses and you get to take them home. You’ll be constructing your very own elf bungalow or fairy mansion to take home with you and there will be lots of opportunity to get creative and have fun. RSPB staff and volunteers will be on hand to help you create your architectural masterpieces.

This is a drop in event so families can come at any time, however last year’s Fairy Village Workshop was very well-attended so we suggest you come early. Once you’ve finished with the workshop, why not wander down the woodland trail in search of the fairy village where you’ll feel like a giant next to the tiny houses? Stop along the way to build a den, make a potion in the mud kitchen, or let your imagination run wild in the story-telling circle. There’s plenty to do for all the family!

The event takes place in the craft barn and teas and coffees will be available in the yurt.

The cost is £10 per child with 20% off for RSPB members (includes parking and your own fairy house to take home).

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sorry, no dogs.
