The Churnet Valley Geotrail is designed to give the visitor a glimpse of the rocks, minerals, fossils and industrial heritage of the area, all of which are intimately linked to the local geology.
It is split into a number of sections. Each guide starts at a parking place along the route. It is possible to make circular walks from parts of the route if you prefer to do this. Some suggestions are included in the text on the guide.
These walks are an update on the first Churnet Valley Geotrail researched and published by SRIGS.
