Bespoke hand crafted products, woodland management and hedge laying in Staffordshire by Martin Evans
I am a green woodworker and social woodlander, utilising materials from sustainable woodland management to create beautiful and bespoke products and using woodlands as a resource for delivering positive activities with children and young people.
Most of the wood I use comes from well managed woodlands within the beautiful Churnet Valley, much of which I harvest myself. Other wood I source from elsewhere in Staffordshire or neighbouring counties, keeping the product miles to a minimum. I use a range of timbers, mostly British hardwoods, making the best use of each species' properties whether it be natural durability, strength or workability.
