Well me for one thing! Hello, I'm Ian Wykes and I have recently been appointed as the new Development Manager for the CVLLP . I've been spending my first few days in what has until this morning been a very sunny Churnet Valley meeting with partners, familiarising myself with projects and getting to know my new colleagues.
I have come to the project from Staffordshire County Council where I was responsible for the Council's country parks and environmental staff. So I am familiar with the Valley and the Project from a partner perspective. What I have always liked about the project is that it gets things done. I want to use the blog to show this is still the case as the CVLLP moves into the next exciting phase of it's life. We are still delivering projects whilst we are developing others. For example, expect to hear soon about the work we're doing on Veteran Trees
As well as me being new, Ian Kynaston has also joined the team as the Practical Project Officer and is working with our volunteers, but I will leave Ian to introduce himself.
