It's feeling more like winter here at Coombes Valley with the arrival of fieldfare, redwing and brambling.

This year’s initial moth traps at Coombes valley are far from sparse – containing a selection of moths, crane flies, and beetles.
It's officially autumn here at Coombes Valley, we have heard the echoes of bellowing red stags in the bottom of the valley and it's awesome!
Paul, our Warden at RSPB Coombes Valley, got this fantastic photo of the rare and elusive Argent & Sable moth whilst out on the reserve this week. RSPB Coombes Valley Nature Reserve is one of only 3 places in Staffordshire where you can find this day-flying rare species.
