Following the halls successful Lottery Fund bid last year we have been working very hard to bring our plans for a mini wakes carnival and community fun day on Saturday 17th June 2017.
The first thing to say is that entry is free and there will be many free attractions as well some that are heavily discounted.
At this time the timetable for the day is as follows:
12 noon – event opens with attractions in and around the hall. This includes a bouncy castle, BBQ, coconut shy, quoits, face painting, nail painting. In addition, there will be stalls in the hall. The Royal British Legion will be present fundraising via a tombola as part of Allison Held’s sponsored bike ride to Paris. There will be a grand raffle with prizes from Alton Towers, Woodside Nurseries, The Village Butcher, Thornbury Hall, Hetty’s Tea Shop and Churnet Valley Railway already confirmed at this time.
3pm – Afternoon Tea for all the family. Sandwiches, cakes and biscuits with tea (or coffee) served in the hall at your table. Cost is just £2.50 each and tickets must be purchased beforehand to ensure we can cater for numbers and keep waste at a minimum. 5pm hall closes to prepare for the concert.
6.30pm concert in the hall when we host Stone Cold Sober…ish for an evening’s musical entertainment. Tickets are just £4 and include a free drink on arrival (bar to be applied for) Tickets will be in demand so initially, we will limit them to 2 per order.
