Talk: Restoring the Uttoxeter Canal

Come along and discover more about the historic Uttoxeter Canal and its route through the beautiful Churnet Valley from Froghall to Denstone, and onward to the market town of Uttoxeter.

Join us for an entertaining evening, gain an insight into the work of the Trust volunteers and enjoy some time along the Uttoxeter Canal – the hidden gem of Britain’s inland waterway network. Explore the feasibility of restoring to navigation a waterway route to Uttoxeter. Find out how you too could help bring the Uttoxeter Canal back to life.

Caldon & Uttoxeter Canals Trust volunteers undertake monthly work parties on the Uttoxeter Canal. See the exciting conservation and restoration work underway to preserve the remains of this amazing waterway and improve the environment for wildlife.

Doors open from 7.00pm, presentation commences 7.30pm, at JCB Lakeside Club, Hollington Road, Rocester, Uttoxeter, ST14 5HY

The talk is open to all; admission is FREE. Refreshments available. CUCT would like to thank the JCB Club for kindly making the room and presentation facilities freely available to us for this event.
